Ordering & Payment
How do I order?
When you have found a painting you would like to buy, simply click on "add to shopping basket", if you think you might buy more than one, or else "go to check-out". You will find yourself guided through the whole process.
Why do I have to create an account?
You do not have to, but the facility exists for your convenience, even if it does take a minute or two at the beginning. We believe you will love the painting(s) you buy from us and are likely to come back again, when by simply entering your user name and password you will avoid having to fill in all the details again.
How and when do I pay?
As is normal with online purchases, you pay at the time of placing the order.
Our payments processor is PayPal, the best known company in the business (see security).
Is shipment really free?
Yes - the total price you pay is that shown on our website and it includes the cost of freight to you. (the exception to this could arise if you live in a really unusual place, such as a house in the middle of the Brazilian jungle.)
How long does it take for my painting to reach me?
With the thousands of paintings on offer, it would not be practical for us to try and carry a stock. When you order a painting, then that particular painting is commissioned specially for you. Between painting time and drying time, 20 days can pass and then a further 15 days to get the painting securely to you. To be safe, we say 40 days, though usually it will be less.
How do you ship paintings?
The paintings are shipped rolled, in very strong tubes. Depending on where you are, we will ship either by one of the internationally known couriers or by registered mail.
What about taxes?
You have no taxes to pay at our end. You could have importation duty in the country you are in, but generally you will find there is nothing to pay there either (that applies, for example, to the USA.)
What guarantees do I have?
As with most reputable internet commerce companies, we work only with a secured bank-authorised credit card processing company. We have chosen to work with PayPal, the best known such company. We do not keep your credit card number on file and all purchases are guaranteed by both your credit card company and our processing company.
If I don't like the painting when it arrives
We guarantee you full 100% money-back in the event that you do not like the painting when it arrives (less 15% to cover shipping and handling). You should notify us within 7 days of receiving the painting and we will send you the address to which you should return it. Paintings are delicate, so you should preferably return it in the same tube in which it arrived, with your name and/or order number on the outside. As soon as we receive the painting, in the same condition as you received it, we will make you the refund.
If the painting arrives damaged
If this occurs, you should notify us within 48 hours of arrival. We will immediately start work on a replacement and also claim from the shipper (all our paintings are insured.)
